North swimmers end a record breaking season
The North Davidson Men’s Swim Team first trip ever to the 4-A State Championships was the fitting cap of a record-breaking season.   The 200 Free Relay Team of Tyler Sheppard, Graham Arrowood, Tyler Decker and Joey Fishel entered Saturday’s competition seeded 22nd.   A large contingency of teammates, parents and fellow students made the trip to Chapel Hill to cheer on the Black Knights. Their Saturday morning swim of 1:34.10 once again broke all NDHS school records, moved them up to 17th in the 4A Finals and placed them in the position of first alternate in Saturday evenings championships.  While the team did not get the opportunity to swim in the finals, the experience proved invaluable and the results were something that the entire North Davidson swimming community could be proud of.
