Note: Reynolds won the conference championship. Reynolds and Mount Tabor are the two qualifiers from the CPC for next week's Midwest 4-A Regional. Isaac Spence won conference player of the year.

Knights Drop Match to Davie County

Nathan Barker fired a 39 and Brandon Veach shot a 41 in Thursday's match at Pudding Ridge Golf Club. Aaron Hartman and Dustin Blake each chipped in with 43 as the Knights finished behind Davie County by a score of 166 to 153. Chase Macaione of Davie County was the match medalist with a 37.

North Davidson will host the first CPC match of the season next Thursday at Salem Glen. All six CPC schools will tee off at 4:00.

There will be practice during the break Monday thru Wednesday at 3:30 at Salem Glen.

Barker is Match Medalist

Nathan Barker fired a 1-over par 37 at Salem Glen on Wednesday to take match medalist honors. Aaron Hartman shot a 38 and Tyler Davis added a 40 as the Knights shot a season best 161 to finish in a tie with Grimsley. Salisbury shot a 165 in the 3-team match. North will take on Central Davidson on Thursday at Salem Glen. The match will start at 3:30.

Nathan Barker fired a 1-under par 34 on the back nine at Salem Glen on Wednesday to take medalist honors in a match against Ledford. North Davidson recorded its best score of the season (166) but fell to the Panthers who shot 148. Jordon Venable and Aaron Hartman each shot 43 for the Knights and Tyler Davis added a 46. The Black Knights host Davie County on Thursday before finishing the week at East Rowan on Friday. This is a makeup for Tuesday's rainout.

Nathan Barker fired a 38 on Thursday but it was not enough as Davie County shot a team score of 8-over par 148 to North Davidson's 169. Brett Schneggenber of Davie was the match medalist with an even par 35. The War Eagles had 7 golfers shoot 39 or better. Aaron Hartman shot 43 for the Knights and Tyler Davis, Dustin Blake, and Brandon Veach all chipped in with 44. Weather permitting, the Black Knights will travel to McCanless Golf Club on Friday to take on East Rowan. Next Monday North will visit Crescent Golf Club to face Salisbury and Davie County in a 3 team match.
